Whyteleafe Community HUB

Hello
We are the Whyteleafe Community HUB
Our vision is to create a vibrant and inclusive village, by supporting those in need, connecting like-minded individuals and groups and contributing to a thriving village by bringing pride and heart amongst its residents.

We're a local charity in Whyteleafe that's made up of amazing volunteers who are all about supporting our community. Our main goal? Making lives better and boosting well-being in Whyteleafe and surrounding towns. Join us in making our community stronger and more awesome than ever!
How it all began...

Whyteleafe Community HUB originally started with now charity trustee Sara Jones and Councillor Deano Cline in 2020 during the pandemic, when they discovered that residents were struggling to afford food. When calling upon the community to help by donating anything they could spare, Sara and Deano created the Whyteleafe Food Bank. Since then, the Food Bank has grown with new volunteers joining to help collect and combine food parcels each week.
Also during the pandemic, Sara also saw the need to support isolated residents, and a befriending scheme was set up, with the support of Tandridge Voluntary Action.
As more volunteers joined and they saw new opportunities to support the community, the Whyteleafe Community HUB are proud to have organised various community events such as a yearly fun day, Christmas light stwitch on, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the King’s Coronation.
